Q: [How long is my recovery time after surgery?]

A: Recovery time will be on an individual basis.  In general, after seven days you will have a follow-up appointment in which you may be able to return to work and limited activities.  In general at one month you will have your last follow up appointment at which time you should be able to resume your regular lifestyle

Q: [How do I prepare for surgery?]

A: Discuss current medication you are on with the doctor.  In some cases you may be required to see your primary care doctor for a pre-operative testing and a surgical clearance.  Dr. Cole will provide written instructions (via email in most cases!) indicating the date, time, location, and specific pre-surgery preparations.  In general, you will not be able to eat or drink after midnight the day of your surgery.  If you are having an outpatient surgery, you will need to prepare to have someone pick you up after surgery.
